To advance the transition to clean and reliable energy, Calpine is currently building Nova Power Bank, a 680 MW 4-hour duration battery energy storage facility on a brownfield site in Menifee, CA, which will help power approximately 680,000 homes and support grid reliability in California. In addition, Nova will have the ability to provide other services such as regulating voltage for protection of the grid.
